My Inspiration . . .

I've always had a love for baking, but it wasn't until I was in college that I had a desire to learn how to cook. In 2009, I decided to start my own cooking blog so I could access my recipes from anywhere, and ktmadeit.com was born.

I love trying new recipes and finding ways to make them healthier & happier on the hips! I love everything about food: the taste, the smells, the presentation, the experimenting, etc. I love to entertain, so I figured this was a great way to bring people together. Hope you enjoy trying out some of the recipes. Happy cooking!

MAKE-IT-IN-THE-POT-MONDAY: Savory Herb Chicken

{ Prep Time: 15 mins / Cooking Time: 4-6 hrs on low; 8-10 hrs on high / Difficulty: Easy / Yields: 4 servings }

Ingredients:
3 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1" pieces
2 envelopes Lipton Recipe Secrets Savory Herb with Garlic Soup Mix
2 medium red bell peppers, cut into 1" pieces
1 medium yellow onion, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup white cooking wine
saltines, optional

Directions:
1. Add chicken, onions and peppers to crockpot. Pour cooking wine over ingredients, then add soup mix. Stir to combine.
2. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours, or high 4-6 hours. (I know it's tempting, but crockpot recipes do not need stirring ~ unless specifically instructed on the recipe.)
** Serve with steamed veggies or rice. Or, with your favorite dipping crackers. **
