I know these don't look like dog biscuits, but I couldn't find my dog bone cookie cutter, so the little gingerbread men shapes will just have to do this time. Your 4-legged friend will enjoy these!
{ Prep Time: 30-45 mins / Cooking Time: 20 mins / Difficulty: Intermediate / Yields: *36-40 dog biscuits }
Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
cookie cutters, preferably dog shapes (fire hydrant, dog bone, etc)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375. Grease cookie sheets and set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour and baking soda; set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter and milk. Stir in flour until well blended. Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Roll out dough to 1/4" thick and cut into dog shapes.
3. Place 1" apart on greased cooking sheets (the biscuits will not spread). Bake at 375 for 15-20 mins.
*The number of biscuits will vary depending on size of cookie cutters.
